On Saturday morning, August 29 at 10:00 AM, we will have a Zoom meeting with Elizabeth Beedenbender (EB) from the USNA Alumni Association and Foundation Office. She will give parents an update on what is happening on the yard. Facebook is far from a reliable source of information (and includes way too much complaining), so you will want to join this Zoom meeting and get accurate information from EB.
If you have questions for EB, please email them to me by next Wednesday, August 26 so that I can submit them to her in case she needs to do research to get answers. We will be able to take questions on the call as well, but giving her some preparation would be helpful. Please find the Zoom link below and note there is a PASSCODE: 100244
In addition, we will have a Board Meeting immediately following the meeting with EB. All parents are encouraged to attend as we will be discussing the care packages to be sent to ALL Arizona Mids in September!
I am sorry to inform you that unfortunately, the All Academies Ball for December 26, 2020 has been CANCELLED. We have rescheduled it for December 26, 2021 in hopes that the Covid-19 situation will not impact our event in 2021. We are sad for our Firstie families at all of the Academies who were planning to attend this year and see their sons and daughters recognized, as well as all of the families who looked forward to this amazing event. It feels like a “pile on” to all the events and traditions that have been cancelled this year for Mids and their families, but upon meeting with the leaders of the other Academies’ parent clubs, it was evident that holding the event would not be appropriate due to the restrictions these cadets and midshipmen are having to abide by.
As always, I hope everyone and their Mids are well. Please let me know if I can help in any way. I look forward to “seeing” everyone on Saturday, the 29th and getting some questions next week to share with EB.
